Description of map indices:
Index A - Maps by Life Cycle Period allows you to browse lists of maps available for each caribou life cycle period. Maps based on survey data are organized chronologically, starting with spring migration and continuing through the year to late winter. Maps showing movements of satellite-monitored caribou and water and ice crossings used by caribou are also listed.
Index B - Use Maps by Caribou Herd to browse a list of maps showing distribution of the Beverly herd, the Qamanirjuaq herd, and both herds combined. This list is arranged first by caribou herd(s), second by the type of information used to create the maps, and then by caribou life cycle period.
Index C - Selecting Maps by Type of Information allows you to browse lists of maps which are based on (i) surveys, (ii) satellite-monitoring data, and (iii) various types of information. This index is arranged first by the type of information used to create the maps, and then by caribou life cycle period.
